Bizarre, I was listening for news on the rookie camp and you spoke about everything under the moin except that
If Hughes did not have permission to rebuild Montreal and Bergevin did have permission YOU would call Hughes a bad GM and Bergevin would be great!

Give me a break. Lars Eller piggy backed on an already stacked Washington team. He just lucked into the right place at the right time. The guy had the physical potential to be a power forward but was afraid of his own shadow. He played bigger in Washington only because he was surrounded with an already big, physical team. In Mtl. Eller was a pussy cat.
For the mailbag, lots of rumours surrounding the Habs and Columbus again, what if the Habs send divorak, RHP, Barron and a 2nd for Boone Jenner, Habs get below the cap, Columbus get above the cap. Lines would be Slaf, caufield, Suzuki… Dach Laine, Roy… Jenner, Anderson , Newhook… Evans armia and Gally. May then need to sign a depth defensemen at league min… would even give up Mesar instead of the 2nd… I think Jenner would be a great addition, we are taking an extra yr, though. If you can add armia instead of RHP and Barron all the better
Great show, To be fair, he made some good moves and signings , his big problem was not developing young players, I think the summer of 2017 was the turning point, trading for Drouin and signing Alzner, vs keeping markov and radulov. I also never understood the Therien signing as a coach, he was awful with a Stanley cup winning team in Pittsburg. If Subban had a coach who had his back maybe thing would have been different
