How am I just now realizing that his shin guards were 1-2” shorter than what most people wear today, especially as a defenseman. I take so many shots right in that spot, I can’t imagine not having padding there.
I also vote 8 or 9, although 6 has a cool vibe if it wasn’t for Humpty Dumpty on the boards.

Man, he’s my favorite. I used to go up to Rye Playland when I was a kid, and my aunt at the time worked for MSG and was able to bring me to practices there. I had a few things signed by him back in the day.
