Stop bringing up race. It's 2024, we're passed this. Segregation of opinion leads to Segregation of people. I don't give a crap about your melanin level. However, I do care about your ability to be a man, put your hands to the grindstone, and do what you gotta to make a good life. Not by pointing out the differences between you and everybody else, but rather by holding together what makes your community the same.
Also, if you move to a community primarily with different melanin levels than you, you can't complain that you don't fit in. Don't move there then, or even better, be a beacon for people to look up to by not focusing on your skin color like it's 1776, then maybe rational people of your skin color will move there.

Yeah, it’s really easy as a minority living in Toronto to get the impression that you’re not welcome there… it’s not like it’s the most multicultural and diverse city in the entire world or anything.
* I’m not against the messaging at all by the way, I think it’s good for the sport… just saying that as a mixed race person myself growing up in the GTA in the late 80s early 90s, I never once felt like I was racially marginalized, nor can I imagine any of my friends feeling that way
