Being aware of the past should tell you that you need to do more than the window dressing that has gone on this summer and summers for the last 10 years. Time to flush Shanahan and the Shanaplan and trade Marner for some badly needed Cap room. Only with the additional Cap room can you can build a more balanced roster that will contend in the playoffs. Moving Marner will tell the players and fans you really want the Leafs to be competitive. Getting rid of Shanahan has taken too long.

Which player did they add that is going to change the fact that in the playoffs, they skate around the perimeter and can't get into the high danger areas to spark a goal? What player did they change or add to the roster to improve the abysmal powerplay? Did Mitch actually take his thin frail frame to the weight room so he can get into the corners or actually forecheck on a dump in against 6'8+ defensemen so he doesn't get brushed off? As they said a month or so ago, everything is on the table. They will make decisions as the season gets started, and any dead weight will be going. Let's see who performs this season because if they don't then they will be gone.
