I just have a feeling that the KHL doesn’t want any contract breaches after the Fedotov incident. Not saying I would be surprised if they did it again but its not SKA or CSKA so I’m hoping they just make him sit or report to North America.

    > I’ve been told more than once that Kolosov was informed that he’d have every chance to earn an NHL job and would likely see time w/ the Flyers. More and more you’re seeing teams use three(+) goalies through out the year. Unfortunately, sounds like Kolosov didn’t want to hear it.

It is a bit cloudy on what exactly this situation is. Was Kolosov told when he signed his ELC a year ago that he’d have a chance to earn an NHL job when he came to NA, or was Kolosov told he’d have a chance to earn some NHL time this year (Even with two goalies blocking him)?

I don’t think he’s entitled to nor ready for any NHL time, but if he was led to believe he’d be getting some then I can understand why he’s frustrated with the current situation.

Screw this dude. Huge sense of entitlement and I imagine he’ll be nothing but a distraction to whatever team ends up with his rights. It sounds like he did everything possible to alienate himself with the organization. Not a chance Briere guaranteed him NHL playing time, and he should want to prove himself and earn his spot.

The real question becomes will Minsk operate the same as CSKA Moscow?

The “Red Army team” they are not

Briere got punked out. Hopefully Kolosov can’t play for anyone else in the NHL.
