  1. With healthy Laine, Hutson, Dach, Newhook, this team should really be demanding more respect. Could be significantly better this season. Adding Lane and Laine to powerplay is dangerous for a team that had around 30 1-goal games last season. Not saying they'll be President's trophy winners, but I think they are infinitely better this year than last, provided they stay healthy…

  2. I wouldn't be surprised by a rebound year by josh anderson. He stay all summer long in montreal and train to find back is game

  3. I will make 3 predictions for the Habs this year:
1- Laine will score around 35 goals and 60 points.
2- The Habs will make the play-offs with 2 games remaining in the season.
3- Now, that's where it gets interesting. Montembault will lose his starting job to Primeau. That move, after around 35 games, will ensure the play-off spot.

  4. I couldn't ask for a better fit to this team than Laine, size, age, term/contract in a player 'renewed' and ready to play a big role in a market that will support him with thunderous applause. The Habs could be a shockingly good team, with 5 guys looking to get new contracts, a good young core and a pile of prospects coming or going in trades. Then there's Demidov…… great synopsis JH.

  5. Honestly it's hard to pick just one guy but Slaf is my most exciting player going in. The guy seems so confident, I hope he keeps it up.

  6. After watching the prospect games, I now fully believe in Lane Hutson hitting 50+ points this season. He could even take over some of Matheson's duties offensively for all we know. I can see him being right up there with Hughes and Makar which is wild but the things he's doing is like no other

  7. I'm really exited about the whole team. Being from Sherbrooke Qc and also a Phoenix fan, I really hope Roy gets a good season. He was really good at the junior level. Great content. keep up the great videos coming! 😀👍

  8. to me the 3 important stories will be the laine/slaf mix since their game are kinda similar with similar body types, one is trying to get his old superstar self, ones developing into one. In my mind, Joshua Roy can steal newhook's spot, but I feel like a smart player like him is needed on the 3rd. Lastly, will Cole Caufield be that superstar we're waiting to have, under or 30 goals. Really a highly anticipated season to watch since 2013-2014

  9. Hutson.

Its the fact that so many people are laughing at habs fans for the hype but they havent even watched him play.
    Forget the rookie camp.
He was world's better than everyone in College, he was actually too good IQ wise and the other College players couldnt understand his vision.
NHL caliber players will really complement his style of play and you saw that a bit in the two games vs the Wings last season where he had little playing time and PP time but still produced 2 points.

  10. I think roy will stay on the second line with laine and dach so that newy could centre that third line. If dach stays healthy it’ll help the top 9 so much

  11. Do the Toilet Seats have a goalie this year? Laine will score on the PP but he's a liability otherwise.

  12. I think we will see a bit of a step back from the top line, as it’s a known commodity now. Laine has to be the most intriguing because they’ve essentially added him AND Dach to the second line and that could be a scary good line if the chemistry happens. Also, having Anderson and Gallagher slide down the lineup may mean they face worse opposition and catch fire as well. Really three good lines here and the offense should be fun to watch. The defence will take some overlooking for a couple more years until these guys develop a little. But should be a strength in a couple years. I predict playoffs for this team!

  13. Three interesting story lines:
    A) finally a productive second line?
    B) big improvement in powerplay ?
    C) a full season of Kirby Dach ?

  14. Biggest two things not talked about are the HC and Vinny who are going to shape all this young talent. They're a couple years behind Detroit, but will be an offencive force in a few years

  15. Get Dach healthy and that kids gonna be a huge asset to this team, played against him in bantam a couple times back in the day

  16. ima just say it you deserve 200k subs or more i love watching your vids, truly keep up the good work man cant wait for the habs this year Go Habs!

  17. If Laine live up to the hype they're not going for a cup run but I'll be the last one to be surprised if they make the playoffs.

Last year they lost 30 games by 1 goal.. Laine can score 40+ in a good season and it's more than just the stats.. Him and Dach being present mean the 1st line will get to breathe a bit better on the ice.

Nobody coming to Montreal for free wins this year…

  18. Im pretty excited about Joshua Roy. I think he will be a good middle 6 guy but i can't wait to see if he can push for some time on the 2nd line
