    They both signed friendly contracts. Beautiful. 8 years would have been better but that would be pretty unreasonable at that AAV. This is low, but not a crazy low deal.

    In a few years, this is going to be at the top of every list “Best contracts in the NHL” “Contracts that aged beautifully”.

    Holy smokes. Imagine the value at years 6 and 7 when this is like 8% of the cap for our number 1 D.
