  1. Best scorer does not mean best player. The best player has to play offense and defense. im not saying Stamkos is terrible defensively, but Datsyuk is the best defensive forward in the game. Combine that with his good point production and Datsyuk is definitly better than Stamkos. Hockey's not all about scoring goals.

  2. you obviously dont watch him play. watch?v=SsUrLDO4IRw go to 5:12 in that video. i think the players know more than you, so just stop talking.

  3. did you even go to the link? its the player poll voting Datsyuk toughest player to take the puck from. You said he's easy to knock off the puck. Clearly he's not. Youre trying to say he disappears when his team needs him, but youre only saying that because of this year. How about last year when he single handedly kept Detroit in the series against San Jose and dominated against Pheonix the round prior? How about his 23 points in the 2008 cup run?

  4. Besides he hardely disappeared this year. he had 3 points in 5 games played, it was the whole team that didnt produce. Stamkos cant even get his team in the playoffs. He had 45 giveaways and only 42 takeaways. Correct me if im wrong, but Stamkos plays center yet he was only 45.5% on faceoffs and just a plus 7. Datsyuk had fewer giveaways with 40 and significantly more takeaways with 97. Datsyuk was 56.2% on faceoffs and was a plus 21. Offense may win games, but Defense wins championships.

  5. Stamkos has made it to the playoffs only once so i will use that year as another comparison. Stamkos had 13 points in 18 games. Datsyuk had 15 points in 11 games. Stamkos was a minus 5. Datsyuk was a plus 10. Stamkos had 8 giveaways and 6 takeaways. Datsyuk had 5 giveaways and 21 takeaways.

  6. plus-minus has nothing to do with scoring, and you seem to ignore the fact that Stamkos loses majority of the faceoffs he takes and loses the puck more than he takes the puck from the other team. you said Datsyuk gets knocked off the puck easily, yet he still doesnt turn the puck over as much as Stamkos does. youre trying to argue that Stamkos is the best player, yet he relies on his team to get him the puck.

  7. once again youre saying goals means everything. if Stamkos was asked to play more defensively he would be scoring 50 or 60 goals. you seem to ignore every fact i say and just go back to the fact that Stamkos scores goals. you cant be the best player in the leauge if you are turning the puck over more than you are taking it away.

  8. you changed youre arguement from best player to most dangerous scorer. looks like you relized you were wrong. and who cares what wikipedia sais, anyone can edit anything written on wikipedia. its meaningless information.

  9. "Best scorer = best player" you said that in a previous comment. you were proven wrong and now you changed your arguement.

  10. youre just ignoring what i said. "Best scorer = best player" this was your previous comment. what happened to that.

  11. so you bring up a point about Datsyuk, get proven wrong, and just stop talking about it. you then change what you said from "Best scorer = best player" to "Best scorer is synonymous with most dangerous scorer" because you cant prove that the best scorer is the best player. saying the best scorer is synonymous with most dangerous scorer, is not the same as saying best scorer = best player. it is the same as saying best scorer = best scorer. and bringing up grammar just makes you look stupid.

  12. I know that no asked my opinion but I'm gonna still give it. Best scorer isn't necessarily the best player. Goalies can be best players, defensemen can be best players, it depends how important you are to your team, not how many goals you score. I personally respect team players way more than goal scorers. And btw. Stamkos wouldn't have anywhere near of so many points without St.Louis on his side.

  13. Damn right he is Billy and has been for 4 years,He is in a VERY elite group of greats:Mario Lemieux,Alex Ovechkin,Joe Niewendyke and Wayne Gretzky. The only 5 players to rack up two 50+ goal seasons before age 22

  14. pretty much all nhl players use rbk elbow pads becuz they are protective and comfy and not heavy at all also their shoulder pads are good also
