Today head coach Scott Arniel let us know that Heinola has an infection in the same ankle which he labelled as “Not so good. Got some bad news on him. His ankle, he’s got an infection. So this isn’t day-to-day”.
Said they’ll come back around this in about a week.
Ville Heinola is out and it’s not short term. The team discovered a potential infection during medicals and now his ankle has swollen up at the site of the screw from last year’s surgery.
Have to feel for the young player who was almost certainly on the cusp of a job.
