This year is our year hopefully
I’m hoping the Leafs will do better when they get the most wins, into the Stanley Cup playoffs and win the Stanley Cup Final.

If I had to guess, you being excited for this season has nothing to do with the Leafs. You are probably just excited to not talk about this miserable Blue Jays season and I can't say I blame you. I'm feeling that way myself. Say what you want about the Leafs but at least they make the regular season enjoyable year after year. This current Jays team hasn't been able to do that

They will miss the playoffs altogether this year
Nothing matters until playoff time. The next 82 games are meaningless for the Leafs.
