Official ways to watch the 24-25 Panthers Season.

For the sake of this post not being taken down I'm not going to bring up the unofficial ways but yes they obviously exist. This is just talking about the officially announced ways from the Panthers.

Several games as well as the later playoffs are nationally televised so those will be on espn, hulu, or other networks. FAQ has a list: https://www.nhl.com/panthers/info/how-to-watch

Streaming:

  • Panthers Plus (Panthers+) app subscription. $69.99 for the year. Includes all 70 local broadcast games, some preseason, and first round of the playoffs. Can only be logged in once so no sharing. Only for the local broadcast area.

App is live on iOS as Panthers Plus. Not showing up on Android yet.

  • For out of market people: ESPN+ will be for you.

Local TV Stations:

  • In Miami/Fort Lauderdale, all locally produced games will air on WSFL-TV, channel 39.
  • In Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast, all locally produced games will air on South Florida's 9 (WHDT, channel 9).
  • In Fort Myers, all locally produced games will air on WFTX, channel 36.3.

These stations are NOT available on Streaming TV such as YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV, and DirecTV Stream. They are only available on traditional cable and satellite packages.

If you are subscribed to streaming live TV and do not wish to purchase then $70/y Panthers+ subscription then your alternative option is to get a digital antenna and watch the games through that. All three channels are available via antenna.

As I stated at the start there are other ways that people can google but these are the official ways of watching. Hopefully those channels will be added to the local stations on streaming tv eventually. Very upsetting that those of us on streaming live tv no matter what have to pay extra out of pocket to watch this season legally whether it's the app or an antenna setup.

I have ESPN + will that still show all the games? How do I buy Panthers +?

I feel like if everyone reaches out to these streaming services asking for these channels, maybe there is a chance? I am going to find a way to reach out to YouTubeTV about it. Meanwhile I am spending this afternoon setting up the digital atenna I bought.

Can you watch the game after it’s over on panthers + or is it only live? I assume live has commercials.

Its absolutely wild to me that the streaming app is for local area only. Such a missed opportunity. Im out of market and would spend the $70 to watch the games. ESPN+ is too expensive since the panthers are the only thing id watch on it.

Wondering if a VPN to make believe I am in Miami will allow me to use the Panthers+ subscription

How do you watch the games on the go when you live in market? Bally had the option to log in with TV provider. Will Scripps be offering that?

I just can’t wrap my brain around geo-locking a first-party streaming platform. What does it accomplish other than blocking potential revenue? At worst just charge additional “out of market” fee or something, I would gladly pay $150 to be able to easily watch all the games in one place.
