  1. Good signing of Lankinen. Insurance policy, but being honest. Noone signs a $875k contract if their star goalie is "progressing well" or "day to day".

Just how long is demko going to be out?

  2. Lankinen signing further emphasizes how far out demko is. he will likely miss 5- 8 weeks assuming he doesn’t get hurt again later on. That’s going to hurt the Canucks a lot, would expect them to finish around 96-102 points this year.

  3. Dammit Chevy! I wanted Lankinen as our Jets back-up and not the other Finnish goalie😠 Anyway Nucks now has a more ligit when it comes to goaltending especially with Silovs too🏒

  4. Great think about this signing is that canucks goalie coach coached lankienin in Finland before the nhl. The 2 already know eachother so this is a no-brainer.

  5. Kingerski out of Pittsburgh keeps talking about a Demko trade to the Penguins, he's been saying this for a few years now. He's got to have a source telling him but it can't be a reliable one. Hopefully the Lankinen signing helps refute it again.

  6. The Lankinen signing is good news for the Canucks and also for a lot of other teams with 3rd goalies who need to clear waivers.

  7. Good on Toews. But I must admit my ears are broken. I heard 25 cents, went back heard 25 cents. Suddenly I realized you said sets and now I can only hear sets. No idea what my ears were doing, but I got so confused on how 25 cents could help anyone buy any equipment! Haha.

  8. Apparently Lankinen was the Preds' first choice for a backup this season, but was asking too much (hence bringing in Wedgewood). I bet he was hoping to get a bit more than he did, but his exit from Nashville wasn't because they didn't want him or he didn't play well.

  9. i really hope mantha can find his groove again. such a solid big power forward when on his game. and he can rip absolute crazy wrist shots.

  10. The 300 shots thing makes me think that the flames are trying to manifest an other 1st round pick

  11. As a fan of Lankinen Im pissed.
After finally getting away from Chicago where he had no defense in front of him he gets to play behind a good team, record career year, one of the best back-ups in the whole league and this is his reward?
One year deal in a new team for pennies.
I dont get it, why would Boston take Korpisalo (for 4 millions) over Lankinen for example?

  12. Mercer for $4M is absolutely a steal. Lucas Raymond just got $8M for 8yrs and their numbers are comparable. Also, Cole Caufield is getting $7.85 per year and he's never been over 30 goals a year either. Aside from the years, the money and production is spot on.

  13. Mantha looked great at camp! Can't wait to see what he does with Pospy and Hubes. Flames are gonna be gritty this year

  14. yea i betcha feel better now.
not much on at 6 am.
all i see is the rebuild is over hutson might score 60 with the habs stuff in my feed.
its going to be a long season.
the nockey guy provides me with a sleeper in net.wooo
    gohabsgo

  15. That pretty much just leaves Martin Jones as a viable NHL caliber goalie available for teams who get in trouble. Can probably be had for about the same cash (875k), Will a team like Boston make a play as a way to protect against a long wait for Swayman? They have to atleast offer him a PTO, no?

  16. Ya mantha will play great a feq games until he breaks a finger or hand in another fight he had no business being in 😒
