I think Cotter looked pretty good, we’re gonna like him after having no depth last year

Bratter is going to have a hell of a year. Cotter and Dillion both looked good also and having Dougies clappers back off the blue line is going to be tremendous.

Well… We don’t need to worry about the curse of going undefeated in the preseason, anymore.

Cotter was a huge positive on the 4th line with lazar. Bastian is fine but it would be so great to have a true defensive centre on that line so lazar could slide over and Bastian sits.

Tatar and Hischier also look like they haven’t missed a beat with chemistry. I think they should be glued together all season. They are great with carrying the puck with speed and getting it deep and recovering even if it’s just dumped in. Meier really should be their winger, but Mercer would be fine as well.

Great to have Hamilton back. Lead the team in shots, and most of those came within the first period. Once he’s back up to speed and they actually make a few calls for power plays he should be back to the 15-20 goal 70 point range this season.

Last point, markstrom looked solid. Probably would have went to overtime if he stayed in, daws let in a stinker. Markstrom looks like a giant in net, funny to see after a few seasons of vanacek and Blackwood and daws.

I cannot wait for 10/4. I just want hockey back man.

Honestly, all our NHL guys pretty solid. Obviously a little out of sync but it’s just preseason. I like the hustle from the younger guys too.

I gotta be honest, I was hoping we’d lose this game. I’m not doing the undefeated preseason thing again. Never forget the 2016-17 Avs or the 2007 Detroit Lions.

Whoever needed to play well, played well. Except for Hamilton on those couple of misplayed pucks on the blue line.

They looks big..solid. Pleasantly surprised. It’s only first game of preseason tho. Dougie will take some time to get his grove back. Markstrom makes a world of difference on this team.

Meh, it was a close game until the goaltender change, but Daws coming in mid-game was probably rusty. Big take aways for me was that we broke 1-0 them, our NHL guys looked good, and our goaltender actually STOPPED HIGH DANGER CHANCES!

This is what preseason is for, getting the guys who have missed tim back in the groove, seeing where our weaknesses lie, and getting lines sorted. A big high point for me was Dougie getting a LOT of pucks to the net and the meat line

I was unable to watch last night’s game, so all I will say Is yay for the return of u/devil_dane

The puck looked like it was rolling and bouncing around more in the second half of the game.. I’m thinking the ice may have been having some preseason issues, as well.
