If I were the Flames I would trade off the stars for draft picks and expiring contracts to rebuild the roster from ground up
Great Video, as usual, Mike. I think that the rebuild will go on, but, it'll likely be built around Jonathan Huberdeau, Nazim Kadri, Mackenzie Weegar & Yegor Sharangovich. Let me know what you think
What the Flames are doing is great. They are insulating their young players with vets, knowing when the kids are ready to graduate to the big club, they will trade the players who get usurped. They have to show they're capable of stealing the job away rather than given an endless runway at the NHL level.

As far as I understand, they have a condition on their first round pick that it'll go to MTL if the Flames don't get to pick in the top 10 (the Monahan deal with MTL). If that's the case, they REALLY need to finish low enough that they can guarantee a top 10 pick.
