  1. How do you know it worked ? He hasnt had an NHL season yet. You wont know if it worked for a year and thats if he plays a full season.

  2. Not such a big deal that the Habs didn’t take him if he wasn’t taken by the next two teams either.

  3. Been loving the vids!! Could you do an update on Xavier Simoneau again?? childhood friend of mine. He played his first game yesterday and did realy good! Very surprising from a guy that size! Thanks 🙂

  4. Sorry but I thought he was over rated. I did think he could become a good solid center eventually.. Even where he was drafted I thought was a little high. Maybe around 8th over all. And thought it a reach to call him generational. Put a lot of unnecessary pressure on him. A good number 2 center. I can still see him get there. A lot like Dubois. Over rated second line center. Never a number 1.

  5. So 30 goals in all competition last year is a bust? 5 goals in 16 NHL games? You’re idiotic. His next 5 years will be better than your boy Brock Boeser

  6. It's common sense. Did multiple teams and scouts and coaches and GM's throughout juniors up to the NHL level all let this player down and screw him over? Or did this player fail to impress all those professional hockey managers? Most likely Seattle regrets their decision much like Detroit regrets the Zadina decision. Infinite development does not create infinite talent. Talent is a lifetime of hard work combined with God given abilities that a small few are ever born with.

  7. I’m tired of people giving him crap over calling himself generational, he got that idea when people were telling him “You’re a generational talent.” I am confident that there were a decent amount of people calling him a generational talent. I mean, the guy was first scouted at 12 years old. And quite frankly, I think he still can become a great 1st line center in the future, don’t Wright (pun intended) the guy off after 2 years

  8. I’m not bothered with this. I’m just wanting him to be paired with a guy to help him have shooting opportunities. I like Jordan Ebs and think him and Wright would make a good pair on the 4th. Obviously Seattle likes to have the depth they had during the playoffs in 2022-2023. I can see Shane getting the job done on the fourth line. He probably move up after this season when Yanni Gourde is gone.

  9. Politics is everywhere, it’s either other players from his draft class are more popular and well liked within the hockey community. Shane wright knows his skills and unfortunately the nhl trying to mess his confidence up by showing him he not good enough by keeping him away from nhl. Only person I know on Seattle is eberle rest of them no names in my opinion, if they saying Shane wright not just as good as those no names something wrong with the politics. They too afraid to play him long term in nhl because he will prove them all wrong with limited time he has done just that.

  10. I think people should give Wright the benefit of the doubt: he still has not played a lot. People can be snarky as much as they want, but he hasn't been given a true opportunity.

  11. Shane Wright will be a good NHL player. People always think the first pick will be a superstar and often they aren't. I was glad Montreal passed over him but I wish him all the best.
