So glad he was the one that scored the OT winner in Regina.

    > “It’s a great honour that I can retire as a member of the Winnipeg Jets and end my playing career with the organization where I was drafted and played my entire NHL career,” said Little. “I had the privilege to play in Winnipeg and in front of the amazing fans for nine seasons, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to thank the Jets, their fans and the city of Winnipeg. It will truly be a full circle moment for my family and I to celebrate my retirement in the building where I have so many special memories.”

    > “Bryan Little is a crucial part of the history of this franchise and was a key contributor to the Winnipeg Jets throughout his time in the NHL,” said Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff. “He was a humble, hardworking player that cared about his teammates and was a quiet, but important leader in the dressing room. Bryan demonstrated tremendous professionalism throughout his time here and it is a true shame that his career was cut short due to injury. I’m very excited that True North Sports + Entertainment, the Winnipeg Jets, and Jets fans everywhere will have the opportunity to celebrate Bryan and his family this season.”

  4. Man, seeing this just makes me so happy. One of my favourite players right from the start of 2.0.

It’s gonna be an emotional night.

I don’t think it’s too far a stretch to say HE was the 2C our team needed the past handful of years. Obviously due to no fault of his own, we just couldn’t seem to find that big fit long term. I hope one of the kids can grab it and hold on to it for the future.

Little is definitely one of the most underrated players in jets history, if not the NHL. Solid play, always gave it his all, someone you could play against other teams best. And by all accounts a good dude off the ice. Hope he can enjoy his retirement!

This is nice to read, he was a good Jet, respectful of our city which can be rare sometimes.

This is what this man deserves. Truly felt his absence since he stopped.

This is so wonderful! I was thinking it would rock to have a trifecta of Little, Wheels, and Buff. Just one big retirement party.

That is just fucking awesome, I love it!

Little by name, but had a big impact. The reliability and quiet leadership made him one of my favorite players when the Jets came back. Little was also the first name I got customized on a 2.0 jersey and I wouldn’t change it for anyone else.

Might have to try to make my way to this game now.

We really lost out on a few good years of Scheif-Little down the middle 🥲.

  15. DistortedReflector

Time to dust off that old 2011 Little Jersey for one more game.

    # SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP !!!!!!

Can’t help but think they chose this game on purpose to honour Little. with Rutger in the building it’s a message sent to Rutger. they could have chosen any one of 40 other games.

  18. PostAboveMeSucks

Classy move by the Organization. Say what you will about Chevy and rookie development, you always know he has a players back. Respect.

If there is a ceremony for this (I would think so), how can I watch it?

*I live near Toronto, if that makes a difference
