  1. It's time once again to review EVERY NHL TEAM! What are YOUR thoughts on your team's offseason? What grade would YOU give them? And what did YOU agree & disagree with my grades? Let me know! #GravGang

  2. I got the Sens at an A-. Very good offseason going through the checklist of what I wanted accomplished this offseason Staios got basically everything done that needed to and cleaned up Dorions mess nicely. What brings it down for me is just the draft mainly the Eliasson pick I think they left value on the table with Ryder Ritchie still available but Yakemchuk has really impressed me and with Zub dealing with a lingering injury it looks like Yakemchuk might get a couple NHL regular season games to start the season before he goes back to the WHL

  3. Great Video, as usual, Nathan. I think that The Rangers didn't do much, but, The Chicago Blackhawks did a lot. I think that both The Islanders & The Sabres didn't do much. As I'm sure that you've guessed, I'm A New Yorker that also loves The Chicago Blackhawks. LOL

  4. Sherwood and Lankinen deserves a mention for the Canucks. B+ or A-, imo. Didn't go for the aging stars but rather got a ton of players that other players will hate to play against. Their current line-up looks something like this:

Annoying asshole — Skilled asshole — Boeser
Skilled asshole — Pettersson — Intense asshole
Asshole – Blueger — Short asshole
    Asshole — Suter — Sprong

    Hughes — Hronek
    Tall asshole — Massive asshole
    Tall asshole — Massive asshole

    Bench: Asshole, Asshole, Aman/Lekkermäki?

Also Lankinen at $875,000 is S tier.

  5. Habs fan ! they ve done really well, in their rebuild >>>Demidov has * potential; thems STARs!…. i see a Mc Saviour level talent there; AND! Lainey as a potential 30 ! goal guy }}} over alls; Habs will soar to… 24 th !

  6. I think it’s fair for the Sabres to get a B+ purely on the direction they were taking. Sure they didn’t go big fish hunting, but they already have a lot of talent. Ruff is getting this team in shape and they did get faster and tougher. I know folks like to make fun of the Sabres, but they could be interesting this year.

  7. As a member of Locked on Wild, with starting line up
    As projected, zuggs HARTMAN Kaprizov
Were fighting for LAST PLACE , im giving them a D
Denny from WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SMOKING

  8. I think you’re off on your Kraken assessment. Using the sound logic and undeniable reasoning that they are my team, I would have to say they had an unbiased B offseason.

  9. I think that Yakemchuk is going to surprise you! He had a beautiful end to end goal against Toronto top guys, in their 1st pre season game. I think its safe to say that most of us Sens fans are happy to pick him at 7 (even the ones that 1st thought it was a bad decision)

  10. The 27:24 mark of the video features the start of discussion of a claim by Nathan Grav of a D+ off-season for the Jets. It can be argued that offseason was a failure considering that for the last two seasons the Jets had been eliminated in the first round of the postseason in five games in each case and had gone nine straight relevant games via which they had allowed at least four goals including the last five during which they had allowed at least five.

Brad Treliving certainly made some splashes this past offseason via acquisitions of Chris Tanev and Oliver Ekman-Larsson. It's hard to convince me the Jets added toughness on their blue line even with serious problems defending in their own end, come playoff time, during the past two seasons. While at a minimum the Leafs' offseason gets 7.5 stars out of 10 from me, I give that of the Jets just 5.5 stars given the above.

  11. The interesting thing about the Ducks, is they actually went after the top 3 free agent players and offered all of them more money and a longer contract that what they signed. However, none of them wanted to sign with a rebuilder. Can't really fault the ducks for that, not much more you can do.

  12. Already seeing promise from Laine with the Habs. I see them or the Redwings making the biggest jumps in the East.

The Jackets signing JVR, I always was kind of a fan of his. At this point in his career, probably a big body to get some greasy goals on the powerplay and provide some sandpaper. With Gudbranson being the only defensive defenseman the last two years and Olivier the only rough forward, CBJ were powder puffs to play against. They're bigger, but I worry another speed

  13. "Big holes defensively for Vegas"

Uh… they didn't lose any defenseman. It's still the same as last years. And you are talking defensive forwards, Stephenson had some good numbers, but would argue that thats largely boosted by centering Stone for most of his time here (and I think Hertl will be better), Amadio wasn't bad, but nothing spectacular, and same wouldnt call Carrier a "defensive" forward, and Marchessault… i mean, come on.

Arguably, they actually got stronger defensively if you include the trade deadline (their "true" offseason) picking up Hanafin and Hertl.

You can call it a cope, but I mostly just consider that trade deadline their offseason. Hanafin and Hertl would have gone for so much more if they were on the free market/trading block, respectively.

  14. Yakemchuk < Parekh all day

You’re clearly still salty Yak is actually the better pick 🤣

  15. As an Utah fan I agree with the A. Did what they needed to do, drafted well. No crazy FA signing but they are trying to be cautious. Loved the Guenther extension.

  16. Blues b- is laughable. We basically got 2 first rd picks that are not only ready to play, but have nhl experience and can contribute immediately. Whens the last time a team drafted 2 high picks who made the team that fall? The goal is to improve the team, cant do much better than that, without signing just a bunch of free agents like nashville did

  17. Columbus lost their star player tragically. A B- is almost disrespectful. I understand not wanting to include it but the Blue Jackets did get a lot worse

  18. Leafs fan here. I think your take on Laine is a bit scuffed. He's not meant to be the piece moving forward, and those draft picks are not ready to be put in his position.

He was a great addition for very little cost. At best he helps propel the team after returning to form and becomes a wicked deadline deal. At worst he fills a spot that was needed with an absolute rocket of a shot that could help open space up for the young kids/help them.

It's not like he has 5-6 left on his deal…
