    Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Time for Spence and Clarke to prove they’re the future of the LA Blueline

  2. TheWayDenzelSaysIt

Ugh this sucks but there is one small bright spot. The younger guys will get the time and experience they need to take the next step.

  3. JustTheBeerLight

    1) good luck with the rehab Dewy, weā€™ll miss ya.

    2) is the top of the ā€˜25 draft class looking good?

  4. Edmuresay

Old man Drew is gonna be back in a month and change, book it. (Pls)

New plan: Stay in contention for the playoffs for half(?) the season.

Kids get time to cook and develop.

Drew comes back fresh to make a playoff push and we win the whole damn thing.

…I know, I know. Just let me have this one.

I mean, maybe Rob Blake would like to lace ā€˜em up for a few months. Could probably still throw a decent hip check.

  7. Zanchbot

The D pairings without him look fucking awful. This team is going to struggle mightily.

  8. I know it sucks but I think we did get a ā€œbestā€ case scenario out of this. As far as reports go I havenā€™t seen anything other than only a fracture of the ankle. No other damage. Month-to-month sounds really long but that could just mean he could be back around the end of Dec

  9. seemonkey

Far, far from a worst case scenario. A torn Achilles, at his age, could have been a career ender. No ligament or tendon damage after the ankle folded in half? Hallelujah!

This could actually work out fine in the long run. The kids will get quite a bit of experience during important minutes which will serve them well down the road. Doughty will be fresh for (hopefully) the playoffs. Ultimately, there’s a possibility that the team will be better off having gone through some adversity early. We shall see.

Well thatā€™s just the worst fucking news ever. Fuck.

  11. Totknax

Month to month > Out indefinitely.

Hopefully by the Holidays he’ll be back.

  12. C91garcia

Luckily it happened now and not before playoff time.

  13. Thumper13

Whelp, time for the young guys to step up. Please don’t rush him back, not at his age. Give him the time he needs to rehab! Hopefully he can provide a voice to the young D-men.

The Kings better not catch the dodgers injury bug.

  15. vastolorde6

Get well soon Drew. How does this work in terms of the A? Does someone else wear it on their jersey u til he gets back?

  16. Canadian__Ninja

Good teams can overcome adversity despite the value his experience will / would have in the locker room and the fact he can still go. Dude’s turning 35 this year and probably needs to take a lesser role sooner rather than later anyways.

Obviously it sucks though to lose someone like him, especially in such a nothing game like this.

  17. Waffeln_Remix

Holy fuck dudes, literally in the preseason? Hope he gets better quickly. That sucks.

  18. justified_mind

LTIR > Cap Space > Swayman > Stoneā€™esk return come playoffs

  19. MrPoppagorgio

Debbie downers. Last long Drew injury we played great if I recall.

  20. AffectionateSeries84

    Time to pull a ā€œMark Stoneā€
