  1. I feel like I'm watching an entirely different player than how you describe Cagnoni. He's an exceptional defensive player for his size and skillset. He's ABSOLUTELY showing that he has the ability to hang around the NHL pace and play, so hearing you say you think he's not even close (even as a PP specialist) makes no sense to me when he's been by far the best player on the powerplay, and really great 2-way play 5 on 5. Even comparing him to the play of NHL vets that he's played with so far these preseason games, he's been the best d-man, particularly on zone exits and keeping plays alive in the offensive zone. He plays some of the most mistake free hockey I've seen from a d-man his age. If he plays at the same level as he did the last couple pre-season games, I think he 100% deserves a shot to make the opening roster

  2. 14:45 I went to the Sharks around the Bay thing at Santana Row and got Sturm and Thrun's autographs, then I went to the neighborhood game and got a bunch of autographs there. I skipped Sturm and Thrun, though I made sure I explained the reason.

Edit: Chernyshov was at the event giving autographs as well, per the discussion when he came up.

  3. No mention of Yegor Rimashevsky? Guy played in the KHL last year and ended the season playing on Dynamo's top line.
