There were some sparks…

In this preseason matchup between the Ducks and Kings, things started off rough for Anaheim as penalties and mistakes allowed LA to take control but there were some sparks…Konnor Smith was eager to drop the gloves, but the refs shut him down, and the Kings capitalized on the power play. Despite a dull overall performance, Sam Colangelo and Lukas Dostal stood out, with Colangelo scoring a gritty goal and Dostal making some key saves. The Ducks fought back in the third, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a 3-2 loss. Tune in for my breakdown of the game and what to watch for in the next round of Ducks vs. Kings! #nhl #hockey #anaheimducks #lakings

  1. Boring game. Especially fielding our 4/5 lines with not much on d. No one outside of who is expected making a case to win a NHL spot. Even the pto and new guys didn't stand out. We should be seeing closer to regular season lineups soon right?

  2. Games was boring. Kings looked better, faster and hungry for the puck. This looked like Ducks hockey from the past 5-6 years, no offense, always on the defense and No fore check! No one wants to shoot except for Vatrano. The score made this look closer than it was…Dostal was good not great but kept us in it. Zelly needs to calm down…keep it simple. The kid can skate and move the puck, the rest of the team needs to keep moving and get to an open spot….and can someone just camp out in front of their goalie to create havoc !! The other D members looked lost! Out of position and not tying up sticks. Hope we make a big cut Monday and have a better line against the Kings. I know it’s pre-season but we need to take our house back from Kings fans.

  3. Your delivery is always hilariously deadpan but no lie this was one of the better game recaps I've seeen in awhile: to the point, covered the juicy stuff, gave some useful context… I'm sure they're a bunch of work but I would love to see more of these

  4. Noah Warren looks so strong physically, knocking everyone who came near him around with complete ease. Crowded blueline of younsters already but likin what I see from him, maybe end this season to next season he'll be ready for regular NHL mins. Pronger without most the offense seems like a reasonable ceiling for him if all goes well.

  5. This is just a regular season Ducks game tbh. Even with their full line-up, probably the same result. That division is rough, there's no way Seattle can't make the playoffs with that shitfest.
