@Montreal Canadiens

This is an absolute nightmare..

OK Guys.. It’s time to take a look at the 4th game of the preseason last night between the Montréal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs.. The Habs lost this game by a score of 2-1 but forget about that.. Because both David Reinbacher and Patrik Laine left the game with injuries early in the first period, and it does NOT look good.. What an absolute nightmare.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. Paré is gonna wind up in the AHL; I just hope someone in the Rocket lineup takes care of business.

  2. When are the delusional homers gonna accept that this wanst an intentional play. Laine tried to drive thru into the offensive zone in a wide stance with his knee completely exposed. Pare was in a wide stance too and he barely shifted his legs leading up to the collision. Just an unfortunate collision and i hope laine can come back this season, but we really have people out here saying what arber did is acceptable and calling for the leafs stars to be targeted? You expose yourself as a classless goof if you think that

  3. Bottom 6

    Heineman – Kapanen – Gallagher
    F. Xhekaj/Pezzetta – Beck – Thorpe

    Top 6
    Caufield – Hage – Demidov
    Slafkovsky – Suzuki – Dach

  4. Bring Dobes as a goaltender. He is already better than Primeau and Montambault! If Montréal wants to make a comeback, they need a strong goalie that will support the young defence man!

  5. Xhekaj hunting down Paré reminded me of Shoresy.

In the Shoresy series it was for a fancy player that tried the michigan which is a big no no in the OSHO. In the Paré case, it's a nobody that went knee-to-knee with a superstar in a pre-season game, also a big no no in the NHL.

The fine sucks, but I'm sure other Habs will chip in, like when a rookie gets a fine for not having a helmet in his first warmup.

  6. Laine's season is done. Knee injuries take a pretty long time to heal, and that looked absolutely awful.

  7. Leaf Fan here. Couldn't stand the knee. BS knee by a career AHLer. Was hard to watch. Although I don't agree with punces to the back of the head either (don't need another Bertuzzie incident) I don't think anyone should be surprised that Pare got jumped. He deserves some kind of punishment. Can't stand seeing that dirt regardless if it's my team or the other.

  8. Low down dirty play from Pare…
Got Ulfie Samuelsson/Cam Neely vibes watching that bush league crap.
And how do the zebras not call a penalty on the play?
I love me some Arber Xhekaj!!!
I wish he was wearing a Flyers jersey…dood handled his business and the "boys in the room" or Coach Marty/team need to take care of any fines or whatever.

  9. I have been a habs fan for over 50 years and I cannot remember a team that has been cursed with so many injuries as this one, it's heart breaking. If I am not mistaken I think they have led the league in man hours lost to injuries for the last 3 years. I sincerely wish Patrick Laine and David Reinbacher a full and speedy recovery.

  10. Ouch! That hit on Laine had to hurt bad!? He got hit right on the side of the knee there, that's one of worst spots for the contact to have been at!? U can see just by how his leg whips around after the initial contact!? U can almost see his leg kinda bend sideways at the knee as he gets hit and it sends his leg flying!!?? This is y playing ur top guys in preseason is really risky!!? But u gotta get the guys some game time to get them ready to rock but it's such a risky thing cuz nobody wants to get hurt in a game that doesn't mean shit!?? There's no good way to fix it either aside from doing away with preseason but then players can't use it to tune up for season!? I guess all u can really do is leave it up to players what preseason games they wanna play in and if players would rather not play most of the preseason games to stay healthy for season that'd be their choice and teams could just play younger guys instead and get more looks at their prospects so could kinda be good in 2 ways!?

  11. absolute heartbreak. laine is a good guy and he didnt deserve this. xhekaj done a right thing, pare should have maned up and take it. if you are gonna dish them out like that you need to be able to take them as well

  12. Laine was doing his best Bambi impression Pare doesn’t stick his knee out. His legs are shoulder width apart. I’m convinced Laine doesn’t want to play hockey anymore and he left his leg out to get a season ender so he can stay home playing video games all year.

  13. I was excited for the season before they got Laine and I'm trying to remind myself of that today.

  14. @hockeyjunkie are you originally from Ireland? I'm trying to figure out your accent.

  15. Horrible. Leafs scrubs trying to make a name for themselves, taking out roster players on the Habs. The preseason needs to change.
