I rarely comment on these vids, BUT that guy Winter's views on finding a position on Palmer playing for England are both ludicrous and incoherent. Palmer is streets ahead of Foden in terms of technique, impact, and winning games. Keep in mind that Chelsea would have lost numerous games without him…including yesterday's game… as well as his incredible impact when playing in the Euros. I have been watching football for over 55 years, and I can tell you that this kid is the best I have seen to put on an England shirt since Gazza… no question! Like Southgate, Winter can not seem to spot a budding genius when he sees one. I just pray we don't squander his talent like we did with Hoddle, Barnes et al. Build the England team around him if necessary.

Palmer is the best player on the England squad. He plays wherever he wants. Foden, Bellingham and Saka aren’t better than him. Any coach not starting Palmer for England should be immediately sacked.
I’m sorry but people need to stop this “oh foden has to play” palmer has been better than foden this season (albeit he is injured) but also was better this season. And I think palmer has more to his game.
VVD isn't even in the top 3 centre backs in the league, let alone worldwide. This isn't 2020. He isn't the player he was prior to injuries and age.

The problem with England managers of the past has been an obsession with shoe horning in all of the best players into the team, rather than playing the right players in the right positions. Instead of worrying about fitting in Palmer, Bellingham and Foden, accept Palmer is the best number 10 at this time and play him in that position. Bellingham is an 8, not a 10. Him coming from deep in the style of Lampard in his day would make him even more dangerous. And Foden should be on the bench. Then you can bring players on like Foden, Grealish etc when you need to change the game.

Palmer only played some minutes, scored a goal and made an assist. Yet he is still being doubted. That’s annoying.

Palmer just wants to play football. Just like Hazard. It is not his bread and butter, it is not to make a living. It is his passion. And that along with his level head , iq and confidence just sets him free from all the pressure and puts him levels above the rest. He is unaffected by the hype and according to the young people, he has no ‘aura’. It is always up to the English coaches and media to miss these attributes which is why I hope Palmer blanks every call up to focus on his club football.

Palmer would simply win them the Euro. It was so obvious. He doesn't waste balls on his feet. Every time, he's gonna try to create something. He's that kinda player but what do I know. I haven't been excited about a player for a long time.
