    >Dahlin knows leaders. When I asked him about his influences on a video call Friday from Germany, he immediately thought back to his days in Sweden and playing with Frolunda. The captain was Joel Lundqvist, Henrik’s brother and a 36-year-old when Dahlin played with the Swedish pro team at 17.

    >“He inspired me in many ways. He’s such a good person, but then he worked so unbelievably hard,” Dahlin recalled. “He was the oldest guy on the team, but he still worked the hardest. He had the best fitness results. He was always the guy that worked the hardest. That’s what I loved about him as a leader.”

    >Another influence? Former Sabres captain Kyle Okposo.

    >“I’ve learned so many things about how to handle himself at the NHL level, how he was as a person with the team, how he treated everybody,” Dahlin said. “He was big on everyone getting treated the same. It was a lot of respect around him.”
