laine was going to get by him and he hung his leg out. where else was he going to make contact but on laine's knee? 2 refs watching the puck carrier and they didn't see this hit?

Pare may not consider himself a dirty player, but sticking your knee out is a dirty play, whether it was premeditated or not. It happened to Lucas Raymond too. The refs have to get their act together.

I can agree with Paré not meaning to injure Laine, but as with your stick, you are responsible for your actions. If you clip a guy in the mouth while trying to raise his stick and he's bleeding, you get 5. I think Paré deserved 5 here, not because he wanted to injure Laine, but because he did.
