Doug Friedman was drafted 222nd overall by the Quebec Nordiques in 1991. He played 2 games for the Preds, tallying an assist.
Craig Millar was drafted 225th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 1994. He played 62 games for the Preds, scoring 3 goals and 11 assists.
Stu Grimson was drafted 186th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 1983, and 143rd overall by the Calgary Flames in 1985. He played 30 games for Nashville, scoring a goal and an assist.
Kevin Klein was drafted 37th overall by the Nashville Predators in 2003. He played 403 games for the Preds, scoring 16 goals and 66 assists. While he wasn't with Nashville when this happened, I think it highlights the toughness of Klein: On December 9, 2014, Klein lost part of his left ear on a high stick in the first period of a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He had it stitched back on, came back to play, and scored the game-winning goal in overtime.
Petter Granberg was drafted 116th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2010. He played 37 games for Nashville, tallying 2 assists.
Kyle Turris was drafted 3rd overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in 2007. He played 182 games for the Preds, scoring 29 goals and 67 assists. He will continue to be paid $2 million until 2027 – 2028. Awesome.
Cody Glass was drafted 6th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017. He played 121 games for the Preds, scoring 20 goals and 29 assists. He was traded on August 13th of this year to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
