Are you surprised that it was Jiri Patera – and not Phil Di Giuseppe – who got claimed off of waivers?
Not really surprising considering the bruins desperation with the swayman situation. They needed the goaltending options with korpisalo as the starter until they resolve swayman negotiations.
Eh…he was probably the 4th best goalie at training camp behind Tolopilo. Boston is welcome to him and it's money off our cap.
I didn’t really think any of the waiver players would get plucked,but I suppose the goalie getting a new team,was not surprising after I saw it was Boston. Those dudes are looking like keystone cops these days.
I thought the defenceman would get claimed.
Insurance in case Swayman don't sign. We had to many goalies anyway.
I find it funny Boston claimed Patera and not Spencer Martin. If I was Boston I probably would have gone with Martin, but Boston being Boston
Lol Spencer Martin looked decent as Carolina's #3, I'm surprised they didn't take him instead, but maybe Ambitious Allvin scoops Spencer up himself

Meh. It makes sense considering Jeremy Swayman is giving Boston such a nasty predicament. If the Bruins manage to land Swayman, I'm sure Patera will just be another expendable pawn in their system.
