  1. I don't think Xhekaj is a dirty player, but the lack of actual responses from the Player Safety will give him the false sense that he was right on his actions and can end up transforming him into a dirty player. I'd like the kid to not go down this road, because I like fights in the game, but that's how I understand it

  2. If truba can truba, xhekaj is a much tame version of shenanigans he at no point made head contact if you watch all angles he was clean shoulder check. Stuzle just punched himself.

  3. The NHL does not suspend on intent or Jacob trouba’s human torpedo at Martin necas’s head would’ve gotten him kicked out of the playoffs. Refs need to take control of a game or the players will rightfully take it upon themselves. Suspending players on intent would be a very slippery slope.

  4. Honestly if xhekaj legits gives someone a career ending concussion (even if its an older player) imo toss him out of the league. We dont need players who repeatedly are hurting other teams players.

  5. IMO intent doesnt matter with head hits. U hit the head it should be automatic suspension u do it repeatedly tossed from the league. CTE is real and can have DEVESTATING effects on people (Just look into the Benoit Daphne wrestling cases or the NFL cases)

  6. How many games do you get to try to injure players before something happens to you, Habs have a target on their head now, they are gonna run out of NHL players by November

  7. People are talking of the hit of Xhekaj, but what about the one on Dach? Dach didn't have the puck, the hit targeted his head, but sure no 5 minute and game for the Sens player… Same with Paré who extended his knee to catch Laine, no penalty, no fined, no suspension. The retaliation on Paré would not have happened if the officials would do their job correctly. Things his people are just hypocrites who comment on what they want and close their eyes on other things, it makes me sick..

  8. Bruins claim Pantera? Cool…aren’t they from Texas? Vulgar Display of Power is a cool album.

Oh, Patera. Thought he did well last year, except when he played. 😛

  9. Stutzle's own stick, which he had up-vertical to protect himself, way up in the air, hit his own face as he then did his theatrical head snap. Stutzle is a well known diver, an elite talent but plays like a European soccer player. The ref''s let the game digress to that point, when Dach was blindsided and they did not call it. Don't toss a guy out before you see a couple of different views to see what actually happened.

  10. The Hockey Guy Rules! Thank you for all your hard work. HNIC should give you a segment, perhaps spotlight you on Hockey Day in Canada. You really do deserve it, Shannon.

  11. I'm quickly getting reminded of how shitty the officiating is in this league and they just leave players to police themselves…..

  12. Tavares, Nylander, Panarin, Lindgren, Reinbacher, Laine, Celebrini, Stutzle, Chabot, Tkachuk, Doughty all injured during games that literally don't mean anything. At what point can we have a conversation about the pre-season? I know you've said before that it's necessary, but the 2020/21 season didn't have a pre-season and things were fine. Is it really worth it at this point?

  13. On vacation here in the UK, so I'm exhausted from over 10 hours of travel. I read that as "Iginla returns to the NHL" and had to do a double take.

  14. I know it’s early and only preseason but Schmid looks better than Samsonov but we’ll see. Aston-Reese scored 2 goals as well. He and Dorofeyev looked good together on the same line

  15. I do think Xhekaj should have been suspended 1-2 games but I put some responsibility on the department of safety because Xhekaj should have already been suspended for jumping Paré in the previous game.

  16. To be fair, Avs actually did have all of their top guys playing against schmid. Just something to note
