  1. Drafting Kasper and Dan back to back while at the same time signing Copp and JT back to back to over-termed, over priced contracts still makes no sense to me.

  2. If they can best out Compher, Copp or Fisher I can say give them a taste of the NHL. Otherwise send them down to GR. I think it would be better for their development to be on the first on in GR than on the fourth line skating maybe 5 minutes a night.

  3. I would take Lombardi over Veleno at this point, even he is more noticeable than Joey. Kasper should have a spot locked up at this point. If Steve wants to let the best players play, he has to. It also shows the prospects going forward that anyone has a chance as long as they step up their game

  4. Kasper looked pretty invisible in the 2023 preseason. Almost alarming then got hurt but managed to finish out the AHL season with improving stats.
Danielson continues to shine since last years preseason with his deft shot selection and ability to find space.
Yet both will be GRG bound with limited call ups.

  5. Imo if the wings rollout the actual best roster it would look like

    Debrincat-Larkin-Raymond
    Kane-Danielson-Tarasenko
    Kasper-Compher-Berggren
    Rasmussen-Copp-Mazur/Veleno/Fischer

    Edvinsson-Seider
    Chiarot-Petry
    Gustafsson-Holl/Maata

    Lyon/Talbot

But realistically Mazur and Danielson won't play immediately and honestly I'm not 100% sure Kasper will either. Regardless, one interesting thing that no one is talking about is that even though we don't have any cap space right now. Husso is eating up like $4.75 mil even though he might not play on the roster and I think before the Wings go to the playoffs we're gonna be selling at the deadline. Package Kane or Tarasenko and a prospect with Husso, Copp, or Petry and now there's roster room and enough to bring in some quality. tbh there might even be teams who want Husso as a decent backup. The big hole in our roster is definitely no longer the forwards, but the defensemen after the Walman situation. Sending our extras could get us something while sacrificing very little of our roster

  6. Yzerman proves all of his haters wrong. Eventually.

He's not perfect, but he's a lot closer to perfect than anyone that doubts him.

  7. Nice to hear Lego.. too many people and so called experts labeled those kids with no offense type now they started to doubt and feel dumb about their take myself I said completly wrong about Danielson in the begining and very happy to be wrong on him

  8. Marco Kasper is an absolute stud. I'm shocked that people think his ceiling is a 2 or 3 center. Danielson is good but he's not better than Kasper. Kasper is a number one center. Wouldn't be shocked if he was significantly better than Larkin in 2 to 3 years. Please get rid of Copp. He's the weakest link in this lineup. Danielson needs a year in the AHL. He's not ready. Kasper would make a significant impact on this team this year. Get rid of Copp and insert Kasper. He's ready right now!

  9. Between Kasper, Danielson, and MBN we need a 2nd and 3rd line center for our playoff window. I think each have a good chance of being that but drafting "excess" players isn't bad when you have two really important positions to fill. Kasper I'd place more as the a good/great 3rd line C rather than a 2nd line C, but that's fine. Yes, with hindsight, there may have been better players to be taken instead of Kasper but you can't predict everything, including who you'll pick in future drafts.

The funny thing is Danielson was really impressive last preseason to the point many thought he could have made the team. This year I think Kasper has shown more overall. I would love to see them on the roster but doubt it happens. Like others have said, keeping them in GR makes sense unless they force themselves into the lineup, and I don't think either is quite there yet.

  10. Proving you wrong? The regular season hasn't even started yet… 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤯😂

  11. It is still just the pre-season. I don't get too excited as a Red Wings fan. You've talked about Nate, a lot. Good for you.

  12. The redwings have a good problem to have. Kasper, mazur, danielsen and Lombardi look amazing out there

  13. You've been riding Yzersham for years, not sure what you were wrong about, because they're still not going to be good

Edit forgot to mention your tagline is gibberish

  14. I had an idea before training camp to put Kasper and Danielson on the third line with Copp . I think it would be an awesome line.

  15. ya gotta be under 30 to doubt stevie y. as a hawks fan this guy was one of the guys that made me stop watching hockey for years.

  16. That Lombardi goal was absolutely filthy. He just decided to tie the game, drove the net, and forced the puck top shelf over Jarry's right side.

  17. It makes me laugh that fans think they know better than the professionals scouting and picking these guys. After the first two picks it’s pretty much low odds there will be a hit that is better than everyone behind them.
