Honestly if we miss again I'll probably be done for awhile. Call me a band wagon all you want Its just after 14 years I just won't care anymore
As much as I want to see them make it, I just don’t think the sabres do it this year. Power and Dahlin I believe in two more years will dominate in a way we haven’t seen since Pronger and MacInnis shared the same ice. But I still think the forward core is not there. Especially the bottom 6. Maybe Lindy can fix that, if he can then anything can happen. We shall see.
I’m also thinking 9th or 10th place. It’s hard for me to ignore Greenway and Zucker being in the top 9 and Jokiharju as a top pair d-man. That’s probably not going to be good enough in the Eastern Conference.
Duuuude Ottawa over Buffalo? They literally have Jack eichel 2.0 when the season starts going south he’ll be the reason the lose with his attitude, Sabres are more well rounded, Boston out of playoffs over Buffalo
I’ll say this again if the Sabres are insisting on Greenway being in the lineup. With his size and halfway decent hands in close to the net, they need to teach him to be a “garbage man” in front of the net the way Dave Andreychuk was.
He needs to plant himself in front of the goalie setting up screens, then looking for deflections and pouncing on rebounds for 2nd and 3rd attempts. Thats the best way for a player like him to be useful.
This Swayman situation is the EXACT reason that I didn’t want UPL to go to Arbitration!
I know that ownership goes into the hearing and turns the screws on the player to get the Arbiter to side with them and it often leads to a VERY tumultuous relationship afterwards and we couldn’t afford that!
The only way Ruff wins the Jack Adams is if they finally end the drought. But since they won't he's not going to win it. That said Sabres will finish with 80pts because goals will be very hard to come by, every team in the league got better and the Sabres got tougher and that's it. They'll struggle to score because I don't see Thompson, Quinn, Peterka, and Benson doing well in Lindys defense first system…..

I’ve been a Sabres fan since 2008. We simply have to make it this year. Still, the apathy is starting to set in. I’ll give this team 3 more years to break the drought. Cautiously optimistic though.

If you’ve got Buf with 269 “goals for” how do you see Ott finishing ahead of the Sabres? Buf gave up the 5th fewest “goals against” in the Eastern Conference.
If this amount of keeping our own talent and shaking it up by bringing Lindy in and signing some gritty players doesn't work I don't know what else we can do.
