POSTCAST: Wild Roast Blackhawks 6-1 in Final Preseason Tune Up



The Minnesota Wild finished off the preseason with a 6-1 win over Chicago. The Wild led wire to wire after a 2 goal first period on the strength of goals by Marco Rossi on the Power Play and Jonas Brodin, who caught Petr Mrazek awkwardly in his crease for the second goal. The Blackhawks scored in the second to briefly cut it to 2-1 on a goal from Seth Jones, but Mats Zuccarello added a goal on the Power Play to make it 3-1. Brock Faber, Marcus Johansson and Kirill Kaprizov pushed the lead to 6-1. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 21 of 22 shots in net for the Wild, who were also 2/4 on the Power Play and 4/4 on the Penalty Kill. The Wild now get set for the beginning of the season which is Thursday night against Columbus.

    2024 regular season is here. I'd like to thank Seth, Denny and Micheletti Mondays for filling the off-season void with some great content. We all appreciate it.

  2. Seth, we played a complete game tonight 😀 It's not going to go that way everytime, but this is what you hope for. I like the way this team is clicking. If they figure it out early then they know what results to go after early 👍 I cannot wait for Thursday 😁 The pace we've had, the tenacity, the ability our guys have shown… etc… It will be a fun year!

    Right before you said "I should unmute my mic" I turned my volume all the way up lol.

  3. I’ll eat my words and impart some positivity Mighty Mouse looks pretty damn good skating , Passing, play making. Good for him. Hope Rossi has a big year, and Faber staying on first PP, Hartman 3rd line. Maybe there will be some common sense after all. Bring on the regular season
