Cristall’s skating is probably a bit better than Backstrom’s…and his use of open pivots is impressive. I like his vision on the ice, playmaking, etc…he would help the power play. I think he’s a better player than Protas right now…definitely better than Milano

I have a feeling coach C doesn’t really like Vrana. His vibe in interviews is not enthusiastic. I say sign him at league minimum. Offer that anyway. Take it or leave it. And two way. Can send him down at any point. Perhaps a nice tool to have in the toolbox when injuries occur or during playoffs. My gut tells me sign him this way. No discussion, or drop him for good.
