"Just shoot the puck" is more likely towards a shooter like Matthews than a play maker like Marner. I've thought that all along. This clip cements that analysis in my mind.

Nylander shows up in the playoffs. He can say whatever he wants cause he backs it up.
He's talking to both of them, and not to join the Marner hate-train (I think he's tremendously talented and a huge asset to the team) I've noticed over the years come playoff time especially he pulls the most "junior" moves e.g. looking up at the rafters when misses a shot, blames "puck luck" in post-game interviews etc. etc. rather than really own it. I suppose Matthews too, although I think there are still good reasons why they gave him the C.
Dude should probs be Cap if we're being honest. they mostly just give it to the most skilled player (Matthews) nowadays though.
