My favorite moment from tonight was the leafs going “we just gonna smooth sail this game so no one gets hurt?” Then a few stiff checks get thrown on matthews, domi skates to their bench during pkay to be like “no? K then fuck you too!” And then everyone starts throwing the body, generating goals, and suddenly detroit didnt want any part of that game. Very satisfying to watch after wanting this tenacity out of this team for a decade. Hopefully that tracks in season.
