That's not a hit to the head. That's Peterka stopping to admire his pass against a guy who had him lined up, already. This is absolute bullsh*t where a defenseman can't step up on a guy in open ice and deliver a hit just because the guy who got hit was looking at his own feet or a teammate's stick at the time of impact.
Players need to stop depending on the officials to protect them in those sorts of situations. "Head up and on a swivel" has been preached in hockey for 100 years for a reason. It's like this younger generation of players has never heard that before.
Dillon got 2 for interference; you can make the argument the hit is late, but not very.
Hope Peterka is okay. He's a very good player and I would look forward to seeing him for years to come in the NHL.
