  1. I’m assuming this will benefit the avs because they can utilize LTIR to their advantage poolman is never going to play again anyway. And they didn’t need branstrom because they already have that depth especially after picking up Ludvig

  2. Wowsa!!! Breaking news,indeed–Good move by the Canucks to free up some cap space and the Avs don't lose anything in the deal.

  3. My guess is that Colorado felt they would lose brannstrom for nothing, so they take a bill and get a 4th for their troubles. Canucks need puck moving defencemen.

  4. I don’t understand this trade. Can someone help me understand?

    If poolman is on LTIR for the rest of his contract, don’t the Canucks get to exceed the cap by that amount anyway? Why do you have to shed his deal?

    And inversely, why would Colorado take the deal? I genuinely don’t get it
