I don't hate Lindy but he did suck. Lindy was not the reason for their success in 22-23. There's a reason the literal only year the Devils had success under Lindy was also the year Brunette was behind the bench with him. Then Brunette leaves and Lindy guides them to a fucking mess of a season with a talented roster while Brunette goes and takes a mediocre Preds team and had them looking really good. The game has passed Lindy by. He sucks.
The Devils 100% make the playoffs last year if they promoted Brunette or say had Keefe instead of Lindy. They would've overcame the injury stuff and the goaltending issues would not have been as large of an issue as they were had the team in front of them not been a complete fucking disaster defensively.
Jack literally only had his rookie year before Lindy was there. He does not get to take credit for a 19/20 year old 1OA pick becoming a star.
I hope they relocate soon it’s getting too old and a waste of time idk of any other team in history that’s signed their soft ass core to long term contracts yet havnt even made the playoffs
When do we start getting concerned that the young core is not as good as we initially thought?
Going into the year with $7M in cap space, no big splash addition or trade and they look exactly the same as last year. This franchise and owner are not serious about winning so why should I invest my time and money into this bs?
Sabres simply lack top end talent, Adams did not come through with the big trade, of course maybe that was impossible, then you check your nads and do an offer sheet.

So now if UPL or Levi get hurt or shit the bed the goalies in Rochester to call up are Felix the Swedish Sieve Sandstrom or career minor leaguer Michael Houser ! 🤬🤬

I love Devon Levi very much besides that one really terrible goal where he had no reason to be doing what he was doing on the outside the net. He did great however, you cannot compare UPL to him when all three goals that went in on him were pretty much un savable it Was ridiculous. One was a screenshot that he couldn’t see the other one was top shelf right in the slot and forget what the last one was but he had no chance on that either
The “Minor” penalty call and no suspension on the Peterka hit is garbage! Especially when it was less than a year ago when Conner Clifton was suspended to games for a nearly identical hit on (I believe Nico Hichier)!
People want to say that the league and the refs aren’t against the Sabres and we’re all just looking for excuses, when there are prime examples like this!
I would not be surprised to find out that all of this is because of how Bettmen want the Sabres to move out of Buffalo to move the Sabres to a larger market!
I stopped watching last year just prior to Christmas, I decided to give them a chance but after the two games in Prague, I’m likely out again. Why bother wasting my time watching an organization that does not make progress.
One positive (and hope) after game one, was that as soon as Ruff went back to the locker room area was that he went right to Kevin Adams and told him that Levi wasn’t going anywhere! Which is why Reimer was placed on waivers the second they got home.

Hey Joe, your owner is too involved with things outside of Kevin Adams drafting prospects his front office and his pro scouting is horrible. He has no balls with anything to in love with this prospects to move anybody the Savoie thing we’ll see how that works out.
I can't stand the devil's and their fans
I think Sabres fans are the only ones who think that Dillon hit should be a suspension but I won't pile on. On the Lindy point, the Devils were so bad for so long and finally went into last season having expectations. Yes goaltending was bad and injuries happened, but this is a man who buried Timo Meier next to Chris Tierney and random AHL call-up of the week. Then Timo broke out as soon as Lindy was fired. For a team that was within striking distance of the playoffs throughout the whole season, that kind of coaching decision is infuriating. There were so many poor coaching decisions and watching the first 2 games, I just can't help but notice how much this season's Sabres look like last season's Devils.

I'd love to get some sort of emotion or comment by our no-show of an owner outside of his annual firing/hirings. You don't hear a whimper from him anytime outside of that. And at the pace he's been hemorrhaging money year after year, you'd think he'd have some balls to say something and get angry. Absolute joke of an owner.
I havent heard anyone but sabres fans complain about that hit and your the only ones calling it a dirty hit and a major. Its pretty obvious it was only a hit to the head because he had his head down, he didnt target the head

The Sabres can NOT go 0-4 to start this year, not even 1-3. The next 2 games need to be treated as some of the most important games in franchise history. If they drop both, they will lose a lot of fans, possibly for good

-Whether the player attempted to hit squarely through the
opponent’s body and the head was not "picked" as a result of poor
timing, poor angle of approach, or unnecessary extension of the
body upward or outward.
He didn't have bad timing, angle of approach was damn near 0, and there was no unnecessary extension. If Tuch put this hit on Marchand you'd be saying it shouldn't have been a suspension.
