As NHL teams work through their final roster decisions, among the players who attended training camp on PTO’s I expect to get a contract: Max Pacioretty (TOR), Steven Lorentz (TOR) and Austin Watson (DET). Sounds like Travis Dermott will stick around in Edmonton too

As the 13th forward I’m fine with this. I don’t expect he’ll play in even half our games.
If we lose games I can at least look forward to a good fight.

They need a guy like Watson who’s okay sitting in the press box until he gets called upon to be a protector. Raymond is going to get beat up this season. Larkin, needs to focus on playing his game and being the leader instead of running guys.
This will be a fun thread. It would be hilarious if Holl gets claimed
If we don’t want Larkin fighting those battles when people take runs at Raymond we need a guy who will step in for 30 games a season and go after those people

*I should clarify I used Raymond as an example since Larkin did recently retaliate over a cheapshot on Raymond*
He will help protect our young players. This sub will dislike the signing now, but love it when he sticks up for a rookie come January.
Watson is a solid 4th liner. He is more affective than Rasmussen any day, when in a 4th line role.
