Hard to get excited when the team decides to run out a weaker version of the team that got pasted in the playoffs last year.
When you had a successful regular season but got slaughtered in the 1st round, you'd think Chevy make big moves to improve the team.
I’ll probably just watch the moose more often this year and more so later on in the season when Barlow, He and Yager are able to come in
Rutger McGroarty made the Penguins' opening night roster.
It's kind of a tight spot. The Jets org saw the lower ticket sales last year despite the team's success, and know that they will lose more sales if they don't put the more experienced players on the roster because letting the new guys in might result in some mistakes and more lost games.
But they are putting the team in Minnesota's situation by doing this. They will be a fringe playoff team every year and won't get the high draft picks needed to make them a future competitor, but also won't ever be good enough to go far. They need to get an infusion of young talent, because the same old group has been tested several times and does not have what it takes to go far. I have doubts that they even make the playoffs this year.
But the Moose will be good. And their games are like $20 a ticket, so that's where I'll be spending my money.
