I think my whole perception of Stanley cup rings has been so warped cuz at first I was like “oh it doesn’t have 32 phrases that are internal jokes from the locker room and it doesn’t open up into a secret cocaine chamber”… and then I settled in and realized it’s absolutely stunning. I love how they incorporated everything into the ring: the rat, the teams they had to beat to win the cup and date, Barkov and his number, their location on Florida’s geography, the cup surrounded by palm trees… it’s just really nice!

The whole design culture for the panthers has been elevated SIGNIFICANTLY since they poached the guy who created the vice theme framework for the Heat. Like an instant leap in amazing over the last year since he’s been with the panthers.
