I know itās only first game of the season, but whatās all this bash on the jets? Yāall keep saying the same thing about them missing playoffs the last 3 years but they preform like this. Put some respect on the jets for once

Nurse looks lost on defense, forwards arenāt back checking and no one wants to pick up open guys in the d zone, I get it the oilers will probably average 4.5+ goals ppg and will be a top team but this embarrassing defensive zone effort is gonna once again prove to be this teams downfall
Great… Yeah lets sign J. Skinner and Arvidsson and completely neglect the issue the Oilers have been having for years. Which is defence and goaltending. 6 goals on 18 shots is actually embarrassing on that level.
I wonder if all those āprofessionalā odds makers that made Edmonton the favourite to win the cup this year are having second thoughts? I know itās only game one but the cup favourite??
Hereās a news flash for you. Edmonton was a Cinderella finalist last year. Your best bet would to pick them barely making the playoffs this year.

I would just say hellebuyck showed up more. The shots to scores says it all Edmonton was ahead on shooting. Hellebuyck returned great rebounds.
Oilers either lack toughness or they too old.
