Based on this guy’s video, looks like Amalie Arena got through the storm okay. So I guess it will just be a matter if they feel that they can play Saturday without disrupting relief efforts

Surge was always going to be a problem for the arena if the south eyewall hit them. It didn’t but there’s a ton of damage around Tampa.

Yeah it’s too early to say if the game will be postponed until official word… since disrupting relief efforts is the big worry (as a UF alum that came up when we had to postpone a game against LSU due to a hurricane.) Still, glad Amalie made it okay from this view and if they decide it’s Game On for Saturday I’ll be there

  3. Yeah since Amalie has power I’m pretty sure it’ll probably be used as a temporary shelter or hub for relief efforts. I doubt they’re thinking about opening it up for games anytime soon, but idk

Really hoping they reschedule. Most people are out of town and won’t be able to make it back in time. All of Tampa and saint pete have no power. The garages are full and street lights aren’t working. I feel like it would be super intensive for them to have an opening game right after so many fans just lost their homes but idk.
