Unacceptable losing to a team that started a rookie goalie and played last night. Penguins got better as the night went on, which most teams on a back-to-back rarely do. This is on the coach.

I'm going to call out the fans in LCA. As soon as the Tigers lost, the juice was sucked out of the building. Piss poor energy. The boys got nothing from the fans in the second period and the 3-1 goal happened right as the Tigers game went final. Focus on the sport you're at and don't be a downer if the Tigers or Lions lose. Help cheer on the Wings. Performance from the Wings wasn't good from the end of the first yes, but if you go to a game cheer hard despite outside shit going on.
There is no other way to explain it. I can't stand the fact that the Wings have signed young Europeans, like Seider and Raymond, who have done ZERO to contribute positively, not only during preseason, but also by the end of their first game. If this dismal playing style continues, the Wings will have wasted giving Seider and Raymond,. especially Seider, all those millions. Sure, they talked about wanting to play for the Wings, but now Seider and Raymond, especially Seider, need to prove that they're worth the millions that they signed up for. What a disgusting performance of hockey by the players in red. DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE…… Where the hell was it? And why the hell do the Wings continue to drop the puck into the opposing zone, but ALMOST NEVER RECOVER IT. Why has Stevie Y not allowed for Kasper and Danielson to be on the roster, and let at least Petry and Veleno, and others to be honest, to forget the Wings' address at Little Caesar's Arena? Veleno is horrific as a forward, and Petry left off at what he wasn't good at, which is play hockey. Even Kane looked out of place on the ice, but to his credit he was probably shocked at the amateurs who play on this team, including how atrocious the Wings' defense was. Heads need to roll if this continues, but Lalonde needs to be terminated if the roster doesn't act like a team.
Maata didn't cover the slot, Gust passed to an open opponent in the slot, Petry consistently turns the puck over with stupid plays in his own end, Ras/Copp/Fischer love to try and force a pass in the Ozone every single time (resulting in a turnover and no shot), Husso needs to be waived/shot into the lake.
There is a guy name Marco Kasper who plays better than EVERY other player on our bottom six…for cheaper. You are not losing anything by playing AJ and sitting either Maata or Petry. "The rookies are going to miss coverage that will end in goals, so it's better to play vets." Well, the vets do the same damn things, so you may as well play the younger guy…at least they are likely to improve/learn from their mistakes. A 30+ year old is unlikely to change/improve (or they would have already).
I'd rather play the youth and miss the playoffs than play a bunch of slow, no-compete, poke-and-hope vets and miss the playoffs.
