  1. I agree Silovs requires more overall work on his ability to track the puck from the point (all part of a goalie's quest to become a 1a goalie for a team); however, to attribute this to anything other than a team defensive and offensive collapse would be highly unjust to Silovs. Even then, this is only one game and I am sure the Canucks both recognize and will work on their revealed team deficiencies. The other consideration is that 4 out of our 6 defensemen are some of the biggest in the league, which can affect your goalie's ability to see and track the puck- both negatively and positively. There will need to be some coordination between the defense in boxing out the opposing forwards, yet still trying to remember to leave a line of sight for the goalie.

  2. Absolutely ridiculous reaction for a game we got a point from. Over reacting for clicks and likes. Canucks " Eeyore " syndrome has already kicked in. We have already trashed our fans, goal tender, defence, highest paid player after one game. Do better !

  3. Sigh. It would have been nice to see Edler hoist a cup. As an aside it bugged me how the league let so many guys get away with murder while if Edler sneezed near a guy he'd get punished for it. I honestly wonder if the league simply gives Canadian and American players more leash.

  4. Edler's evolution as a player, as Drance said, was impressive. If he tried to remain an offensive, physical defenceman, his career would have been over long ago. Dave Babych also had a similar evolution, though Canucks fans were only able to see the second act of his career when he became a Canuck.

  5. This is why you have 7-8 D added to the Roster…. it's apparent our 5/6 will be suspect thru an 82, so guys like Juuls and Friedman for now will have to be on the ready every day. There is no way as it sits, this top 6 D will make a Cup run, so rotate it thru the year until Deadline.
