  1. The body language of Petey is exactly the same as how he left off last season. Its the most bizarre situation that this franchise finds itself in at the start of a season. To be frank I don't see this turning around anytime soon. I don't know if he needs a motivational coach around him but this organization needs to do something very quick. Are we missing something that is going on internally with the organization and Petey. If you back to last years all star game that is when his confidence started eroding quickly. Then the contract is signed and all of a sudden Petey can't shoot a puck. How many times do you see him looking to pass when he should be shooting. That is why you are being paid 11 mil a season. Right now he's just an anchor on the line. He dosen't seem to know where to be on the ice in the offensive zone. How did this upcoming superstar go from stud to dud. I can't even imagine what conversations are going on right now with ownership and management regarding Petey. If we are all seeing this imagine how horrified the brass is feeling. Petey is playing like a 2 mil player. How much would you pay for what he is bringing to the table right now? Not much. This is like missing a player like Kucherov, Pastrnak, Barkov, Tkachuk, Matthews, Mackinnon, Point, Aho out of your line up. That's how concerning this is becoming.

  2. He's skilled, he's smart.
    The issue is he's soft.
That isn't something you learn, it's in your blood!!! You can't teach grit and toughness, that is also something you possess. There's no surprises here. They need to add toughness to his line or the Canucks will have a rough road. Am I wrong?

  3. I am not worried. Can't blame petey cause we didn't win shootout. Also, we are still missing our best pk player in dakota joshua.

  4. Huge statement game by Kevin Lankinen. He shows up and his play says; I am the Canucks number one Goal tender with his fantastic play. He has gone from a good backup to someone who is seizing's the moment and taking the void in # 1 Goal Tender and making it his bitch. Great job and answers another of my preseason questions about the team. Silovs has yet to prove he is a regular backup goal tender at the NHL level. We all know he is capable but you got to put in the work and prove you are reliable. Two games and two points, not the best and not the worst. My main question marks left are Petey and Demko, are they going to be healthy enough to play up to their potential and make this team a contender. Petey still looks a little sore yet and that seems to effect is play because he is thinking out there instead of reacting to the play and doing what he knows he should do. He is not quite there yet but he is not as bad as most of his critics lament. His line mates are capable but have not executed on the game plan that great, but they will in time. My slow start for the team seems to be playing out for the first 20 games but it is much better than i thought it could be. The Brock Star was a big question as well but his health seems to be fine. Another loss and another question answered for me, with Lankinen's fantastic performance and him grabbing the reins of the #1 goal tender, i am even more optimistic for this team now as the team seems to be answering some of my more important questions for the team to the positive outcome i had hoped for. Ya they still got a lot of work to get the structure down for every game but it is looking alright for now. The coaching staff has some work to do with these guys but i don't think it is a daunting task.

  5. Petey, you are getting knocked down every game too easily a few times. Eat like a pig for a few weeks and go to the gym more oftenand to gain some weight. You will not be knocked down so easily if so. It is purely Physics. You are tall with high centre of gravity. You will be on your ass most of the time if you stay on with your current weight. Come on, you can now buy a gym and work there alone now anytime you wanna pump yourself up!

  6. if you tell pettersson to just play his game im sure his numbers go up, he is just trying to play tochets system right now

  7. If Garland had Pettersson's skill, he would probably lead the league in points. He's all heart, and guys like Pettersson should look at his effort and think wtf I need to step up my effort level. The other player who was noticeable was Hoglander. The problem was that he was noticeable for better and for worse. Lankinen had a great game, but the boys just didn't do enough to get him the win. Hughes just couldn't get a shot through coverage. Oh, he did get a few through. They missed the net. Lastly, Boeser over Sprong in the shootout. Really????? Sprong has by far the better stick handling ability. Boeser's skill set to me is terrible for shootouts. I'm no expert, but I've seen Sprong dangle, and this guy has moves.

  8. Anyone that thinks that's a player getting called out has never actually heard a player getting called out. This was a clickbait title.
