I feel like we need to hear from Pegula himself at this point.

You know, something that tells us he hears us. He knows. He’s going to hire a president of hockey ops. Something to show that the Sabres are going in a different direction.

Losing two top-six forwards and not replacing their production isn’t an off-season of improvement.

“But we have the best prospects in the NHL”

“X X playing in X is someone we should look to draft early in the first round”

    “They will pull it together”

“This team just needs another 2-3 years then they’ll be contenders”

    “We need more grit”

“We need less grit and more offense”

“We need less grit, more offense and more defense”

    “Ok we need more grit”

“This should be a big offseason”

“*insert coach name here* needs to be fired! His system doesn’t work!”

    Did I miss anything

Here’s a small transcript taken from Bill Belichicks podcast talking about the Jets. Sounds familiar.

    **Mike Lombardi:**
So I think to me the biggest issue is, if I stand back and look at it from a general manager’s point of view, this isn’t just about players, coaches, and schemes. This is cultural—this is cultural within the building. Until they fix the building, there’s no magic wand that’s going to change it.

    **Bill Belichick:**
That’s right. It would be a total organizational effort, which it’s probably been for the last decade. Again, that record reflects more than just the coach, the general manager, or the personnel department. It’s more than the owner. There’s got to be some accountability all the way across the board.

    **Mike Lombardi:**
And the owner—we all know owners never seem to be accountable. I mean, that’s why they own the team. They can do whatever they want, and they have every right to do it. But I feel bad for Jet fans. They’re probably wondering, what’s next?
