Jake Oettinger makes 33 saves in the Dallas Stars home opener in a 3-0 win over the New York Islanders. Tyler Seguin scores twice and Jamie Benn added his first goal of the season as the Stars move to 2-0 on the season. Oettinger has been the story over the last two games with his performances and it’s needed with the sloppy start for Dallas. Matt Dumba was injured in the 1st period and never returned. What does that mean for the Stars defense and players like Miro Heiskanen and Thomas Harley?? Brendan Smith and Nils Lundkvist will have to step up in the foreseeable future. Joey also discusses the power play which has gotten off to a really rough start which is surprising with the amount of talent Dallas has. Stars will take on the Seattle Kraken tomorrow to wrap up the weekend.

Nice shutout win to open the home schedule, Stars! Oettinger was fantastic! Hopefully, Dumba will be okay. Btw, the VICTORY+ app is not bad. I like how they display who's on the ice and the amount of time for the Stars at the bottom of the screen.

The Stars should give him whatever he needs to be locked up for 6-8 years. Ask EDM, TOR, VAN rn, CGY…. Franchise Goalies are TOUGH to find.
