Spread out the power play stop putting the core four and Riley on the same power-play. You haven’t had a big enough example it doesn’t work
Its there second game and you are whining about the power play .give it a break

They do not have that dynamic defenseman…Reilly moves slow for a powerplay and the penalty killers are anticipating his moves…
fab four cant score. get some others in there cause 80 games of doing the same thing is a firing offence.
Just roll the top 2 lines and throw out a forward on the blueline for both.

(ETA: Maybe swap Robertson & Domi, and perhaps Marner & Nylander, if you want)
Rotate them to start a PP, and if one gets hot and/or the other sucks then keep rolling that one. If both suck at the same time, throw out the 4th line.
the pp has stunk and the fact Berube hasn't dnoe anything about it is very strange. same old same old. they don't pass or play fast on the powerplay.

The core four should be the last players on the PP, they cant handle the pressure. Don't get me started on playoffs lmfao let's just work on getting their brains capable of a powerplay.
What will we do with this PP?
Guys are saying Marner never played left but the guy makes $11 millions. Should be able to manage a position change at that price

cant load up a pp with your top players .. keep forgetting thats exactly what the oilers do and they have the best pp lol
What's wrong with this PP is what's wrong with this team. Other than Nylander, I'd say their core are not high-iq individuals. They can't adjust on the fly and they routinely make the same errors and become predictable, just like in the playoffs. Sigh. The regular season with this team is a waste of time. Nothing matters but rounds 2, 3, and 4.
Two games in and what are you asking now?
Swap Rielly for OEL. Mitch can facilitate, add that bomb from the point. When everyone is a threat to shoot, Mitch is optimized and it’s less obvious to watch the strong side flank, be it 34 or 88
Don't worry leafs, lots of other people have issues with their PP too. It's a common problem!
The problem is they skate the puck too much. It’s too slow and makes it easy to defend. They need to get more static and move the puck faster than the defenders can move and get them scrambling and set up a shot into that type of traffic not the type of traffic where the defenders are trying to block it.
