I’m not sure where you’re seeing that, when you pull up tickets they aren’t a large change in ticket prices.
Edit: followed the link on their instagram and there none left hope the scalpers enjoy them.

Was able to get some. I don’t know what will happen with the ones we bought for the Carolina game. Ticketmaster said it’s just postponed but team said it was cancelled

The CEO was probably panicking about ticket sales. October is a difficult time to sell hockey tickets, they focus big time on group sales initiatives etc etc This is both goodwill building and a way to move some seats.
