Even tho binner struggled that season, it was evident the difference between the 2. Husso played a disciplined style but never made “the save” and binner showed you have to highlight to win some games especially in the playoffs.
The shame is Husso played a great season, the numbers played out. But if binner doesn’t get hurt we might have 2 cups

I told everyone Husso wasn’t as good as everyone thought and I was told we had to keep him and get rid of Binnington. HA!

I’m still a Husso truther. He was incredible in Finland, at WJC, AHL, and with the Blues.
He has the tools to be a good NHL goalie. Detroit right now is an awful environment to be a goalie.

His 21-22 season with us was a thing of beauty. I hope he can find that success again somewhere when not against us.
