Bro… oilers are on another level. There’s really no comparison

  2. goinhuckin

Would we be saying the same thing if we were 1-1 with two points as well? No. This isn’t an abysmal start.

  3. We have 1/2 of the points. We have 7-9 goals for against. They have 0 points and got outscored 3-15. No, we are not the same.

    My friends
It’s two games into this season. Let’s all chill

  5. We could be faring way worse… oilers are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

  6. Buddy, we’re at 500, I’d take our record over their 0.000 right now.

  7. insignificance424

Ours isn’t THAT bad. They were close games and we actually have points

  8. PTCruiserApologist

Oilers are literally at #32 rn, we are not the same

  9. Odd-Explanation4165

The Oil will still fear the Nuck 🥅

  10. Awkward_man07

2 points in 2 games is not an abysmal start…Sure you can have better ones but that’s not abysmal jeez guys

  11. JTMilleriswortha1st

Abysmal is pretty strong for the Canucks lol. Lost in OT and lost a total toss up in the shootout

  12. Canadian_mk11

Post this when we’re 2-10 and just lost against the worst team in the league.

  13. Stinky_Toes12

Dude we scored more in one period than they have in 3 games, our start is amazing compared to theirs

  14. Big brain Canucks decided to allow the Flames to come back to boost their confidence so they can beat the Oilers over the weekend. One point loss for 2 points gained.

  15. Man, too soon for all this drama! The Calgary game stank for sure! The flyers game was a lot better but we went down to 5 D, 3 min into the game. Think our d just ran outta gas on that one. Maybe if it wasn’t the second game of the season they would have had more legs. Anyways… let’s see how they respond on this road trip. It will be tough without Myers but hopefully the depth starts to shine.

0-3-0 is worse than 0-0-2. Canucks haven’t lost in regulation yet. Just my 2 cents

  17. Money Pucks ‘Deserve to Win O’Meter’ has the Canucks and Oilers on the positive side for two of each of their games. Sometimes, hockey is just going to hockey and you’re going to lose because of a bounce. Data suggests both teams will be fine.

  18. Both these teams will be solidly in the playoff mix come January/February. It’s so funny watching people panic.

  19. TickTakTick

I’d rather have our start than the Oilers…

  20. Consistent_Active_28

After a dozen games . Haven’t lost in regulation and scoring isn’t problem just entire 3rd. Period, except game tying goals. I think if they could play 2 an 2 an 1, probably halfway through the2n and 3rd. Keep doing whatever working in first. Pull a LA King’s trap for half of 2nd an 3rd. Does anyone body think this would work?.

  21. theimponderablebeast

Avs got blasted at home by Columbus, we are looking fine in comparison

  22. yonksterman

how we got 2 OT is totally on different state than Oilers’ 3 big losses.

  23. Can we not forget that the Canucks are currently missing Demko? Lankinen has only primarily been a backup, and Silovs is currently a tweener. I don’t think it would be unfair to say it’s probably a pretty big drop off in goaltending the Canucks will have to contend with until he returns. I don’t think Lankinen/Silovs will consistently lose the team games, but they probably wouldn’t steal any either

The Oilers on the other hand, on paper, have a better roster than they finished last year’s finals with.

  24. travworld

Honestly don’t really have any feelings about our start? They’ve had great play and bad play and have 2 points in 2 games. It’s been 2 GAMES. Season starts are always rocky for many teams before gaining consistency and gelling.

And this team is nowhere close to playing bad. Both games have had some stellar play mixed with bad.

  25. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpp

Nah we played fine tbh. Stop overreacting.

Goaltending was the reason we lost game 1, sorry Silovs. Sure, we sucked defensively. Guess what, so did every other team. Other teams, however, did not have a goals saved above expectation of -4.

With Demko we are probably 2-0 and planning the parade route.

Stupid post. I would never shake an Oilers fans hand
